UROLOGY EXPERT FORUM
having a baby

having a baby

Hi, first thanks for taking my question, and I want to tell you a little on my history

I am a male who had contracted Chlaydial around a year ago.
Unfortunely it went to my prostate. My bladder has beem very uncomfortable and urine very frequently

I have took different kinds of antibotic (antibiotic) (cirpo xp and every existing antibotic (antibiotic))  The strange part is after taking antibotics.  I feel my bladder getting weaker as I urine even more.

Two urologist confrim that the clamydial was gone.  And I am
safe to have sex.  The urologist say the problem with the bladder will take care of itself since the antibotics have not improve it.

But my condition has improve only a little after a year. as I have to urine often every 2 hours or less and bladder always feel it need to be empty unless I urine.

The question I want to ask

Is my new wife is now pregnent for 3 months and I am very scare.  I am very afraid it will lead to a unhealthy baby, because of my current condition.

many sleepless nights, due to one stupid one night stand.

Thanks a lot.

If there has been documentation that no infection is present, it is unlikely that it can affect the pregnancy.

I would continue to ensure there isn't anything wrong with the prostate.  A transrectal ultrasound can be considered to image the prostate and ensure there isn't an abscess present.

Various types of urodynamic testing - including cystometry, uroflometry, or urethral pressure profile tests - can evaluate for any problems with urinary storage and drainage.  These can be discussed with your personal urologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
