is this bladder problem related to ms

It started with a bladder infection about 18 years ago. I took anti-biotics and it went away.  Not long after it felt like another uti, but not exactly. It felt like i had to go all the time, even right after empting.  Urologist found i could empty bladder fully, found nothing wrong and years later i went to another urologist who tested me for interstitial cystitis where i went into the hospital and helookid inside my bladder. He said i didnt have it, although, he didnt really believe that IC was a real disease. Anyway, i had the bladder problem for about 7 years and then it miraculously subsided right after i gave birth to my first child.  Since then it has hardly bothered me.  oh, the last urologist did find a microscopic amt of blood in urine everytime he tested it.  Its been almost 18 years, and i have been to an MS specialist, tho it was 14 years ago. I was tested for ms (brain & spine MRI & spinal tap) and he said i didnt have it.  I have since had vision problems though.  Anyway, my question is in MS does this type of bladder problem exist..this would have been my first symptom, and would it last for 7 years (feeling like I always have to urinate, and also feeling like I have to urinate during sex)...and then subside directly proceeding childbirth?  It waxes and wanes now, but most of the time it feels totally normal.  I have had 2 instances of hesitancy in the morning and a few episodes of urgency.  I am so afraid of an ms diagnosis that i wont go to another neurologist....thanks for your help.

With the neurological testing you have had, it is less likely that MS is present.

That being said, MS can sometimes lead to neurogenic bladder - which can increase the risk of bladder infections.

The cystoscopy you had is a pretty comprehensive test of the lower GU tract - things like bladder cancer would then be a less likely cause of blood in the urine.

Regarding the urinary symptoms, you can consider urodynamic studies.  These are specialized tests arranged by a urologist to determine lower GU function.

You can consider these tests in conjunction with your urologist.  If MS is a concern, you can discuss whether a second neurological opinion is necessary.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
