The appearance of semen can vary depending on the person as well as the presence of other diseases (i.e. infection).
To further evaluate the semen sample, an analysis can be considered. I would also consider a
urinalysisUrinalysis to evaluate for any genitourinary infection.
The standard semen analysis consists of the following:
* Measurement of semen volume and pH
* Microscopy for debris and agglutination
* Assessment of sperm concentration, motility, and morphology
* Sperm
leukocyteLeukocyte alkaline phosphatase count
* Search for immature germ cells.
