Dear Blake,
It is hard for me to make a diagnosis over the internet because a physical examination is always important. It would be important to know the size, consistency, location, mobility under the skin, and associated discoloration of overlying skin. I don’t think this is any relation to epididimitis, nor do I think it is an active infection of any kind or your symptoms would get worse . If you have had it for two years and your urologist did not see it when he or she examined you for the epididimitis, you probable have a benign condition, However, I still think you should show it to your urologist when he or she sees you in follow-up for your epididimitis, but I don’t think it is an emergency. Certainly, if it grows or changes color, you should see a doctor immediately.
