Sometimes the exact location of this lump can be difficult to discern on testicular exam. I would get a second opinion from your doctor quite soon.  If he/she has a question, a scrotal US can be ordered to look at this area more closely. Testicular cancer a concern if the mass is in the testicle.   If it is indeed in the epididymis   then it is most likely a cyst containing sperm. One of the multiple sperm ducts leaving the testicle may have become blocked and then dilated  forming what is called a spermatocele.   A spermatocele is usually not a problem, fertility is preserved. There are some more rare tumors (both benign and malignant) that maybe considered by your urologist.
