There are always possible complications to every procedure. Your urologist should explain them for your. Recurrence of the
varicocele, bleeding and infection would be the complications that you should be aware about.
Time off work would depend on the extent of the surgery and the urologist doing the procedure. A one week healing time is not unreasonable.
