There are a variety of causes - such as a cyst, infection, hydrocele or
varicocele. The best test at this point would be a
scrotalGenital injury
Scrotal mass
Scrotal masses
Scrotal swelling
Testicle ultrasound ultrasound.
To evaluate for infection, I would test and analyze the urine. Tests for STDs such as gonorrhea or chlamydia can also be considered.
I would discuss the possibility of the ultrasound with your personal physician, or consider a urology referral.
