I'm 30 y male
i had a varicocele 3 years ago and had surgery then i had some pain and after checking there was a hydrocele on both sides  then 3 months ago had something strange my right testicle literary flipped in its position (upside down)
and i could easily turn back so i went to several doctors and finally a testicle torsion repair but the doctor said it is unnecessary to remove the (mild) hydrocele
now the hydrocele is getting larger and the right testicle is moving again not loosely but it is attached with a stutterer
however yesterday i started having mild pain in the right side and found it a little bit loose and felt that something it like a small needle under the skin over the lower side of the right testicle

my question is can any one explain and what to do and what tests should i need to confirm and should the hydrocele be removed or not?

no it was not seen by the ultrasound but the doctor said it have the symptoms of the testicle torsion itself the pain was from the lower inner side of the left testis any way if medication has no use in easing the pain and it is moderate to severe i think surgery is a must however  you should consult a specialist or a consultant speciallized in this matter not a urologist because the first three doctors were consultants in urology last one was specialized in curing infertility and andrology (i'm not sure what this specialty is called)

quick question, was this torsion actually in your scrotum or higher up by your appendix? I thought your appendix was on the right lower side of your abdomen?  Can this been seen on a testicular ultrasound?

let me tell you something that might help when i had the pain after the hydrocele there was cyst like thing causing pain in my back left side of the left testis  during the surgery the surgeon have found that i had an appendix testis torsion which is small limb comes out of the testicle that is usually found in both testis however in some cases it may be twisted causing pain like what you described believe me it is worth checking because i went to three doctors non was able to diagnose me correctly
and if surgery is required for exploration don't hesitate

rmprdl1964, you may want to try to get a hydrogen breath test if you are getting the abdominal cramping/bloating. Its my understanding that after a round of cipro the bad bacteria can overgrow in your small intestine. Which would also create aches in your upper abdomen/cramps.

I just tested positive for this next week, going to try a course of antibiotics. I will let you know if it works out.

Hi I had a simmilar thing after a vasectomy and a hematoma removal. After the hematoma removal my left testicle was fixed in the scrotum in an abnormal position.
It would cause pain when sitting in certain positions or when carrying things.
A year after the surgery, I had emergency surgery for a left orchiectomy. I had developed a staph infection, requiring the testicle to be removed.
As for Cipro, I have been on this drug on and off since 1994. I suffer from bloating and abdominal cramping. I'm not sure if this was caused by the Cipro.

All the best.

all of my problems started with a varicocele on the left side (hydrocele and small cyst also found), I woke up to what felt like a pencil in my left side of the scrotum.  It would ache in my left side when I'd bend over for over a week.  The doctor put me on cipro. Ever since then, my symptoms had changed and I have upper abdominal pain under my ribs, an intermittent achy back, intermittent deep burning aching in my thighs. This has been going on for 4 months!  It is just insane that all of this started from a varicocele.  I do not know if the cipro gave me ibs or what, but my life has changed for the worst ever since having that happen to my left testicle.  I would be careful with any meds offered to you, please let me know if you got it removed and it relieved your symptoms.

where does your pain on the right side hurt?
