past kidney stones and cyst ongoing pain

Hello my name is Hope I am 36 and married and live in New Jersey. I am writing out of desperation.  My husband Bill is 35 has been to two urologists who cannot help him. He has had 15 stones over the past 5 years ranging in size from 1mm to 2.3 mm.He also has a cyst on his right kidney which the last doctor told us has grown in the past year. He also suffers from diverticulitis and had a hernia operation to have a mesh patch put in. We have had numerous tests run and that is all the doctors seem to be willing to do. We recently lost our health insurance and have had to go to the E. R several times in the past month. His symptoms include severe lower back pain, vomiting at the time of pain and skyrocketing blood pressure at the time we believe a stone is passing. The past three visits to the E. R  no stone has shown up on the cat scans and ultrasound. The doctors tell us therefore there should be no pain which is very frustrating. The last uroligist wanted MORE tests and gave him an antibiotic and some pain medicine.
Our family cannot live this way much longer so I was wondering what help if any someone can give us. We cannot afford any more hospital visits but that's what we have to do when his pain becomes so intense he cannot even stand upright.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Sincerely
Hope

thnks for saying that becuse that is exactly what my Husband thinks aT times. I mean he has cysts and blood in the urine everytime...  mean that is not normal hei hunched over can't breathe and hi blood pressure is through the roof.. Its so very frustrating because all uroligsts care about is seeing a stone. They tell me there is no problem with the cysts. I don't beleive it anymore. Bill has not been able to work a full day in amonth and now we are getting ready to lose our home. I am stretched to the limit here....

But thank you for your support and God Bless you

I dispute how increased oxygen is going to affect a rock in your husbands kidney, but hey, its up to you if you want to try it or not.

I completely understand where you are coming from.. I have been there.. I'm 22 years old, and have suffered with kidney stones for 2 years, ranging from 1 mm to one thats in me right now which is over 10mm! On two separate occasions, when being seen in the ER while in ridiculous amounts of pain, I have been told by doctors that I shouldn't be in pain because there is no obstructing stone. Bull, I say. Renal Colic is a very distinct type of pain, and believe me, there is no mistaking it. I had one doctor go so far as to tell me it must be muscular back pain.. Wow, then you better prep me for surgery, because the day I have back pain so bad I feel it in my GROIN and am vomiting whole rolling around in complete agony (and by the way, not hurting any more with movement), is the day my back must be seriously messed up lol...

Don't let your husband be discouraged by this, because he IS in genuine pain, I have been there.. You just feel so frustrated when a doctor tells you you shouldn't be in pain, while you are in more pain than you have ever been in your life. I had one doctor pretty much accusing me of faking to get drugs.

I don't know what the solution is, but I would definitely explain this to the nephrologist/urologist that your husband is seeing, as renal colic can be caused by other things than stones. I know its not much consolation, but make sure your husband knows hes NOT crazy, and there are people out there going through the exact same thing.. I wish you all the bets in getting it resolved!

This is a very good alternative. It will reduce the kidney stone and cyst.Do this breathing everyday and will start feeling better.
Bhastrika - Take a long deep breath into the lungs(chest not tummy)  via the nose and then completely breathe out through the nose.Upto 2 minutes daily.
Anulom Vilom - Deep Breath-in through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
then  - Breath-out through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then   -Deep Breath-in through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then   - Breath-out through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
and repeat this cycle for upto 15 minutes. Maximum 3 times day.
Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for upto 20 minutes daily. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
The extra oxygen in the blood helps the body to fight.
