Congenital curvatureCurvature of the penis of the penis can be present from birth, but becomes obvious only after puberty. If you have noticed the appearance of the curve at the time of and following puberty, it is likely to be congenital curvature of the penis and requires management in the form of surgery only if there is curve in excess of 30 degrees.
If you have noticed the appearance of the curve only in the recent past and if it seems to be increasing, it is possible that you have Peyronie's disease. This is characterized by the development of a fibrous plaque within the body of the penis and is a progressive disease that can eventually impair sexual performance.
Any curvature of the penis in excess of 30 degrees can cause pain during intercourse and this can detract from the pleasure of the act.
You will need to consult a urologist for further examination and diagnosis, but you can keep us posted on any further doubts you may have in this regard.
