Trust me, Stones would be the first thing I'd rule out. They can get in the tract and only allow some of the urine by. A few minutes later, the rest of the urine says, " Hey, let my a** outta here. I'm no Doctor, But I've been called the "King of Kidney Stones". I've had 53 Miniature stones and one super boulder the size stone the size of a pencil eraser. The stop and go urine was the first sign. Ether that or standing over the toilet, thinking happy thoughts, hoping the rest will come out to no avail lol. The pain usually comes later. It may not be stones but it’s a good place to start looking. Like the Doc says above, check with your Urologist.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but such symptoms can be due to glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys),urinary tract infection, hypercalcemia, hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, diuretic drugs and benign hyperplasia of the prostate(in males).

In my opinion, investigations like kidney functions, ultrasound lower abdomen ,intravenous pyelography ,prostate specific antigen blood test, thyroid function tests and cystoscopy may be needed to confirm a diagnosis.I sincerely advise you to consult a urologist or nephrologist and get yourself evaluated so that a confirmatory diagnosis can be made.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
