psa variation over a short time

doctors diagnosed me with chronic prostatitis 4 months ago.
my psa values (at different labs) are as follows:

test1 (3 months ago):   psa =1.7
test2 (2 months ago) psa=1.87
test3 (yesrerday) psa =2.6

is there anybody with chronic prostatitis and such a high increase over a short time?
Note: in my all urine tests, there was no infection.

Pity you didn't mention your age. Prostatitis as you know will raise PSA. My inclination would be to keep an eye on this every 3 months and see how it goes. Don't be bounced into prostate biopsies too quickly.
