Withing the last 24 hrs I have noticed a redish tint to my sperm, almost like there was blood in it. any explaination?

Blood in the semen (hematospermia) can be caused by a variety of diseases.  This can include infection, or prostate disease.

Obtaining a urinalysis and swabs for STD cultures can be considered.

It is also advised to evaluate the prostate with a digital rectal exam and transrectal ultrasound.

If these tests are negative, there is a large proportion of cases that are benign.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician, or in consultation with a urologist.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
