renal angiomylolipoma

I'm 49 y.o. healthy female. On January09 I went to do abdominal US for check up and left right kidney's 5mm mass was found, most likely angiomyelolipoma. Then CT scan found it and confirmed 5mm angiomyelolipoma. On May09 I went for US to insure stability and was told that they found 2 more angiomyelolipomas which they most likely missed on CTscan............So, now I have report which saying that they found 5mm and 7mm most likely angiomyelolipomas on right kidney and 7 mm most likely angiomilolipomas on left kidney which did not change in size since January09.  My urologist suggests to repeat US in 6 month. I'm worry. Should I see another doctor to have second opinion or do I need to see oncologist?
Thank you.

ANGIOMYLOLIPOMA (as indicated as the name of this lesion is incorrectly spelled).
It should be ANGIOMYOLIPOMA

(NOT to be confused with another lesion)   ANGIOMYELOLIPOMA

Hi,
Angiomyolipomas are benign tumors of kidneys. They usually present around 40-45 yrs of age and they are 4 times more common in females compared to males. In patients who have single angiomyolipoma  4 cm or those who have multiple angiomyolipomas, we usually do a regular follow up because you see these tumors are rich in blood supply and there’s a small risk of hemorrhage and that’s the reason we do a follow-up and usually don’t intervene until the patients have any symptoms.
I sincerely hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind Regards.
