No, this should normally not cause infertilityInfertility Infertility - resources Primary infertility. However if the testis has been in the inguinal canal for long then it can result in infertility. With retractile testis this complication is less frequent. The surgery is very minor and if you get it operated on a Friday, you will not need to take a day off form work.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
thank you for you post, the link you provided was great, couldnt find anything about the surgery on the internet.
How long are we talking when you say "long" as far as im aware the longest has been about 5-10mins (trying to push it back down), is this long enough to have effect?
i am now thinking about getting a sperm test done, would this be the best thing to do once i have had the operation?
Hi
Thanks for the update!
Don’t worry, everything will be fine. I am glad you noticed and took care of things at your level. Hence ideally your condition should not pose any problem. And no, that’s not considered long. Do keep me posted regarding your surgery. That’s a great idea---to get a sperm count done.
All the best! Take care!
