rising psa with no prostate!

i was diagnosed with prostate cancer one year ago, it was surgically removed along with the lymph nodes, which were clear. Recently my psa has risen to 2.9, and i have that same uncomfortable feeling i did before my surgery, also, i have blood in my urine. I am worried about my cancer metastasizing as it was very aggressive. Should i be worried about my cancer returning or are these syptoms (symptoms) indicative of something else?

Spread or reoccurence of the prostate cancer is the most concerning cause of this finding.
Tests to evaluate for this scenario can include a CT scan, bone scan, or ProstaScint scan.
An additional option would be a transrectal ultrasound and biopsy of suspicious area.
Because of the serious nature of reoccurence, the source of the PSA needs to be found.
These options should be discussed with your urologist.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
