sclerosing spot on glans penis

I am a 56 yo monogamous male and for about 50 yr, I have had a small (<2mm), raised, red bulging spot on my glans that looks like it is filled with blood, from a scrape or scratch when I was very young.  Last year I had sclerosing of varicose veins in my leg, which worked very well.  This is purely a vanity question -- might this glans blood spot, not really a vein I'm sure, be amenable to injection with a sclerosing solution (sclerotherapy) to shrink it, or would the risk outweigh the cosmetic benefit?

Thanks for your reply.  I saw a vascular surgeon who said it was indeed a small varicosity; and he said chemical sclerosing is not appropriate for use on the glans, so that answered my question.  It was a vanity concern, there were no symptoms.

Hello,
From your symptoms it can be varicose vein or Mondor’s disease.  It is superficial thrombophlebitis of the penis. This is an inflammatory reaction to a clot within the vein. This subsequently causes blockages and dilation of the vein. It is typically painless, but can be painful.

The varicose vein on the penis does not require any treatment. It may bruise during sexual intercourse and thus wearing of a condom is highly recommended. Also use of lubricants is recommended during masturbation or during sexual intercourse to avoid bruising the vein. No other treatment is required. In fact most of the treatment like laser treatment will cause scarring, infection, nerve and vascular damage.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
