I am a 70 year old male who had a TURP procedure 5 years ago.
Everything seemed to be normal except for retrograde ejaculation, which I was told was expected. However, my glans is much less sensitive than before and it is difficult to have
an orgasm. Sometimes impossible. It is also more difficult to get and sustain an erection. This seemed to happen suddenly right after TURP. Could this be due to scarring, and is there a surgical solution? What can I do to restore sensitivity?

This may be an uncommon complication from the surgery, as there may be damage to the nerves. There are some cases where the sensitivity would return as the nerves heal.
Obtaining blood tests to evaluate for diabetes or thyroid diseases can be considered to rule out systemic causes. Urine tests to evaluate for infection can also be done.
If the symptoms continue, a referral to a neurologist can be considered to further evaluate sensitivity symptoms.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
