A stone of 5mm can easily come out. You need to ensure that you drink adequate fluids and hopefully the stone should come out. A simple measure of the same is to see the color of the urine. If the urine is dark yellow in color, it indicates that you are not drinking enough water. One of the factors leading to stone formation is lack of exercise and in fact it has been seen that regular exercise can facilitate dislodgement of the stone and excretion.
If the stone doesn’t come out, then it can be broken into smaller pieces with the help of radiowaves (ESWL) from outside and then it comes out.
