stent plasement

I was born with 1 kidney. Now I am 23 year old men. 3 weeks ago ,after i went to the emerjency room bechous of strong back pain, I realized that I have urinary infection and kidney stones(2-3mm) in my uretra. They put stent, gave antibiotics. It past 3 weeks, but I stil have infection in my urine.The doctor said that they will remove the stent and stones if there is no infection. How long can take the infection in my urine while  the stent is in there. What can you  advice me in my case? I am worried about my one kidney, is there a risk of damage of my kidney too?

I too have a stent. No your kidney will be ok thats the purpose of the stent to keep it from obstruction and working properly. Please correct me if I'm wrong Doc. Cara

2-3 mm great chance of passing stones on your own. Cara

One more thing I also have an infection. It is horrible pain but remember we are lucky as it is temporary.
