Difficult to say without seeing the lesion.
Infection can certainly cause
swellingAbdomen - swollen
Ankle sprain swelling
Breast - premenstrual tenderness and swelling
Foot swelling
Foot, leg, and ankle swelling
Gums - swollen
Joint swelling
Mastoiditis - redness and swelling behind ear
Scrotal swelling
Swelling of the base of the
penisCancer - penis
Curvature of the penis
Penis care (uncircumcised)
Penis pain. This can include a
cellulitisCellulitis
Cellulitis on the arm
Orbital cellulitis
Proctitis - streptococcal or folliculitis. I would also tests for STDs such as gonorrhea or chlamydia. Other infections can include prostatitis or
epididymitisEpididymitis - which can be tested for via a
digitalDigital rectal exam rectal exam or scrotal ultrasound.
Non-infectious causes can include edema (which is a collection of fluid) as well as a dermatitis. There are many causes for edema - but I would check a urinalysis for protein as well as kidney and liver tests as a start. A dermatitis can be evaluated by a dermatologist.
