tens in nerve regeneration
TENS units have an anode and cathode electrode. Does TENS help peripheral nerve regeneration and which electrode is placed on the far side of the nerve area?

Hi,

I'm a person who suffers from a neurological condition HNPP (hereditary neuropathy with liability with pressure palsies.)
I have gone for several EMG studies and have noticed that for a while after them I don't feel too good.
I'm on Amitriptyline to cope with the simptoms, but at times have deep pains that I can't treat with medications. I purchased a inexpensive TENS unit and have been able to get some relieve. I do not believe that there is any regeneration from it.
I'm also not sure as to which lead is the anode or cathode.
Even though the machine does provide some relief, it cannot get rid of pain completely.

All the best.

Ron
