testicular disorder?????????

I think that my husband has retractile or gliding testicles. It seems that at times, usually when he has an erection his testicles retract up into his groin area. Is this what i think it is? Is this normal? We plan on having children eventually. Can this affect his sperm count in anyway. He probably will not go to the doctors for this so do you have any recommendation for him? Please feel free to add anything that is important regarding this issue. Thank you

Difficult to say without evaluation.  A retractile testicle differs from an undescended testicle.  The retractile testicle can slide up and down the scrotum, and should not have any effect on normal testicular function.  Temperature fluctuations can affect the degree of the retractile testicle.

In any case, I would have a urologist evaluate the symptom.  If there is concern about fertility, a semen analysis can be considered.

This can be evaluated by your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
