I have recently been unable to work out as I normally do. A few days ago I finished my workout as usual, but the next morning I found myself with an irritating rash of some sort behind the scrotum. I am also concerned with the pain in my left testicle, it feels like a dull knawing of sorts. I have done the self exam and found no bumps or unusual things, but I am concerned. The dull pain is still present and so is the irritating rash after treatment with hydrocortisone and peroxide.

Thanks for your question. Your pain in the testicle could be due to a variety of conditions ranging from injury during the workout to varicose veins. If it is due to injury, it will subside with rest and painkillers. Varicose veins usually present as soft swelling of the cord structures and may be apparent only during standing and straining. Even though you have self examined your testis and have not found any swelling, you should remember that some testicular tumors may also present with pain. Occasionally inguinal hernias can also present with dull inguinal pain.
The rash could be due to wet (sweat) under garments with or without fungal infection. You should consult a physician to be more precise about the diagnosis.
