Urine culture - catheterized specimen once a week for a suggested time of 3 months.
It was not possible to insert the catheter and was starting bleeding so the once again inserted a cystoscope, guide wire and passed a catheter along the guide wire.
I have no problem passing urine now and the flow is very high after the catheter was inserted and removed again, the bleeding is stopped so everything feels great.
The conclusion from another doctor in the hospital 4 days after was, that the will insert another catheter with a cystoscope (should be done next week) so the don’t damage the new cut again, and leave it for 4 weeks so it can heal completely before removal. He say that I will keep on damage the cut every time I try to insert a catheter and it need to be done during healing or it will close again.
Is that procedure right or would it be possible to keep the wound open during healing by inserting a cystoscope once a week until is healed so I don’t need to wear the catheter? (that would make me happy)
Is it after your opinion the right treatment I get or would a laser operation(or other procedures) be better?
I been operated for the same 10 years ago but I had closed up slowly.
Best regards
