urinary tract iritation

hallom for the past 3 years i have been suffering with an iritation of the urinary tract the symtoms  have been on and off with time in between the flare ups changing it first stared up when i was drinking alot of pure fruit drinks ie orange juice etc (all thow at the time i did not realise this may have been couseing the problem) i was given a course of anti biotics that worked for a few weeks then it cam back i later realised it was fruit that was causing the irritation so i stoped drinkingb eating fruit at it went away how ever it has come back again and fruit is not causing the problem this time . i have been told it could be acid in my diet so have reduced acid in my diet as much as i can i have even taken ant acids but nothing has worked  evey time i get a flare up i change what i eat but nothing works i was also told it could be my shower gel that could be the problem so i have tried not usinging any at first this seemed to work then it came back i have tried a low acid diet drinking nothing but water and not using shower gel and his has not worked at all i have an appointment to see a urologist this month but at the moment i am at a loss what to do will this ever get resolved or im i stuck with this please help.
