How are you? Long term use of indwelling catheters might cause certain complications like urinary tract infections, haematuria, swelling of the urethra, passing urine around the catheter etc. Since how long are you on catheter? And how frequently do you get it changed?
Catheters should be ideally changed every 14 days, otherwise there is chance of developing complications.
Also the size of the catheter could be less, due to which also there could be passing of urine around the catheter.
All the best.
