MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

In urine culture, the bacteria and other organisms responsible for a urinary tract infection  grow on the media after a period of time, usually after 24 and 48 hours of incubation. If few organisms grow, the test is negative. If organisms grow in numbers large enough to indicate an infection, the culture is positive. The type of organisms causing the infection are identified with a microscope or by chemical tests. If urine tests are positive, medications may be tested for sensitivity or resistance to particular medications or antibiotics.

Your negative result indicates no infection present. It would also be best to discuss your test result with your attending physician. Take care and regards.
