uti post laser surgery for prostate

i am a 52 yrs, male from nepal.i had undergone laser(HoLap) 5 weeks back for BPH, the surgeon also told me that i had hypotonic bladder which has been improving now.i have already taken 3 courses of antibiotics orally yet my urinary tract infection is not resolving..i got a urine culture done 2 days back it has shown growth of staphylococcus aureus. and intravenous antibiotics amikacin and vancomycin are the only drugs sensitive.there are plenty of pus cells in the routine urine examination. but the other investigations are all normal. i am a known diabetic and hypertensive for the past 6 years and on medication for the same. could u suggest me what to do further.

How are you? Holap surgery is usually very effective and there are less chances of bleeding after this procedure. But painful urination can happen after this procedure and last few weeks. As, the urine culture shows S.aureus, vancomycin is the best drug to use. Follow the course to eliminate the infection.
Being diabetic also delays healing. A check of blood sugars needs to be done.
