Hi and thanks to everybody for the help. I am 28 years old and weight 186pounds, I don't smoke or drink.
My problem started few weeks ago. A month ago I underwent a varicocelectomy via ligation of the spermatic vein. The cutCuts and puncture wounds is about 2 inches in the inguinal area. I was operated in italy...the country I was in at the time (i am from there) and the varicocele was a IIIrd grade on the left testicleTesticle lump Testicle pain Testicle ultrasound. I was given antibiotics and cortison meds right after I got out of the hospital. I've stayed in the hospital for less than a day...i think its called outpatient here in the states but I am not sure.
Well, my scrotum swelled up a lot, but eventually after 3 days started to get back to his normalNormal saline flush size. Everything was fine for a week up till I've started measuring the feverAllergic rhinitis Coccidioidomycosis Febrile seizures Fever Fever blister Fever blisters and canker sores Herpes labialis (oral herpes simplex) Histoplasmosis Malaria Rheumatic fever Scarlet fever which would reach 100.04 when I walked around and get back down to 98.06 whenever I would sit or lay down. The surgeon who operated on me extended the antibiotic therapy to another week and changed antibiotics. A week later I was still having feverAllergic rhinitis Coccidioidomycosis Febrile seizures Fever Fever blister Fever blisters and canker sores Herpes labialis (oral herpes simplex) Histoplasmosis Malaria Rheumatic fever Scarlet fever. The surgeon prescribed me an ecography (is it ultrasound?)of the testicle and area around the incision. It comes out I had a little Hydrocele, an inlfammation of the spermatic cord and epididytims, a thrombosys on the dorsal vein of the penis and just a little edema under the scar. The surgeon extended again the therapy but this times with shots of antibiotics. Nothing changed. Than he told me to stop taking antibiotics and cortisone and see if without those my fever would go up or not. Eventually my fever stayed the same, I had to come back to the states and my doctor said it would have taken some time for my body to recover from the surgery and i wasnt required to take any meds anymore.
Now, few days ago I started to feel a pain on my chest, rite under the hearth, in between the ribs. Also when i strech my back backward (reaching up with my hands) and i touch my left abdomen i feel pain, like if i am touching something hot...a burning sensation. I feel that sensation (altho less strong) when I wear jeans, i guess because of the belt the presses on it.
As if that was not enought, on my penis there has developed a bump, right next to the vein with the blood clot in it. That bump hurts, and its like there is a small vein on top of it...an hard vein. And at the base of the penis, right where the pubic hairs start, I feel sore, like if there were tiny 'vessels' under the skin that hurted. I dont know if they are veins or lymphatic vessels.
I know no one can possibly tell me whats wrong with me with an email...I won't be unreasonable. All I am trying to find out is if a month after had surgery is normal to still have pain. Are all of these symptoms normal after a varicocele surgery (even if very unlucky to have them all at once) or is something I really shouldnt underestimated and maybe run back in italy to get checked better?
I appreciate you time and hope to have an answer as soon as possible.
