vasectomy reversal problems

I had a reversal shortly after having a vasectomy and ever since my left testicle hangs lower than the right. This is causing extreme embarassment to me to the extend that I refrain from meeting the opposite sex.I went back to the surgeon and he performed as he called it an orchidiopexy on me this has not cured the problem. What I cannot understand is when my body is cool put testicles hang ok but when my body is warm the left hangs lower, when I have an erection the same thing happens again. Can anything be done including having another vasectomy to cure this terrible problem.I am 43 years old and went through a bad time in my life ie separating from my wife .Looking back I thing that I was not thinking straight when I made that decision.I feel a lot calmer now but would wish this problem be rectified. Can someone help me.

Dear Jim,
Vasectomy is a very common and safe procedure. It is highly effective at preventing pregnancy. The incidence of complications including bleeding, infection and/ persistent sperm are quite low. Estimates range from 1 to 5 %. Approximately 10 % of men that undergo a vasectomy desire reversal.
A low hanging testicle on one side may be due to postoperative changes secondary to either the first or second procedure that you underwent. I realize that this causes you some embarassment but in fact a large number of men have a discrepancy in size and/or position of the testicles. It is a normal response  to warmth for the testicles to descend lower into the scrotum while they ascend when it is cold. This allows the testicles to remain at a constant temperature. I think a third surgery would not be a good idea for you. This would risk disruption of your vasectomy reversal.
