veins on the scrotum

I've got a varicocele on the left. It does not cause pain, however
i've also got veins on the scrotum which are dilated. Maybe they are due to occlusion
produced by a scar left there after an operation for testicular torion.
I'm an M.D student and I know all about the varicocele, in fact I diagnosed it myself.
However I'm concerned about the scrotal veins.
The subfertility associated with 20% of people with varicoceles, is due to extra heat produced by the dilated Panpaniform Plexus.
Do the scrotal veins bring heat to the testis or lose it?
Thanks
