watery brownish semen after long period without sexual activity of any kind

My ejaculate is a watery consistency and is tinted brown.  This is of great concern to me because I think it maybe related to a serious medical condition, or at best, problems with fertility in the future.  I have abstained from sexual activity of any kind (even masturbation) for many, many years and I am particularly worried about something I researched about called retrograde ejaculation. Will the fact that I have been abstaining for so long cause a medical problem or future fertility issues? Will it damage sperm quality, motility and if there is damage, is it reversible?

Hello,
The semen is produced mainly by the prostate gland. When the prostate contracts at the time of ejaculation, a vein may tear and blood mixes with the semen resulting in a brownish coloured semen which is known as hematospermia.  Reddish coloured semen indicates new and dark (brownish) discoloration indicates previous bleeding.
The other causes can be infections like herpes, Chlamydia, cytomegalovirus, trichominiasis, inflammation of the prostate (prostatitis), epididymis (epididymitis), or urethra (urethritis),calculi (stones )in the seminal vesicles or prostate, polyps in the urethra, ejaculation-duct obstructions, abnormalities in the seminal vesicles and benign or malignant tumors. I would suggest you to consult a urologist for this.
I sincerely hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Warm regards.
