worried about tissue in penis

hello. im 19 years old and about a week ago having sex with my girlfriend somehow managed to bruise the shaft of my penis somehow. The next day i noticed it had shrunk in size by about half and wasnt soft anymore. I went to a urologist the next day and the doctor told me there was no sign of bruising or a fracture and i should be fine. a week has gone by and my erection still hasnt returned to its original state. the sides of the shaft often i no longer have feeling or any arousal. my penis is harder in a flacid state. i can still get an erection but its no longer very hard. im worried the tissue is damaged and is now forming scar tissue so i ordered some msm cream. it isnt all damaged though which is good but still half my penis is no longer active it feels and despite what that doctor told me i think somethings wrong. is there something i can do?! or should i even be worried.

Mild penile trauma is possible in this scenario.

Imaging the penis with an ultrasound can be considered to determine if there is any bleeding, hematoma or other tissue damage.

If the symptoms continue, you can consider a referral to a neurologist to determine if there was any nerve damage.

A urinalysis to look for possible infection can also be considered.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
