Cystocele repair ??

Hello, this is the first time that I have posted on this forum, but, I have some important questions , I think.

2 weeks ago I had a bladder cystocele repair.  I had pain for a day or two in the hospital .... was in for 4 days.

Got home, and because I have MS, I use a catheter all the time, so, with my mirror, I say the same thing in my vagina.  I don't know what it is, and will be going to the Dr. on Wed. this week, but it looks like I had NOTHING done, and the bulge is still there, and protruding.

I am 55 years old, and have had 2 kids.... a full hysterectomy, and everything.  I don't know what is left now.

Please help,
thanks,
Candy

Oh dear!   What did you find out?   I hope to have funds to further my problem, but I too have bulge now cause I believe my mesh has failed - it is eroding - and the bulge is driving me nuts.
Why are doctors still doing this surgery?

I would expect you to see an improvement in your cystocele after repair.  Your doctor will be able to examine you and determine if what you are seeing is the cystocele or just part of the vaginal wall.   J. Kyle Mathews, MD
