The effects of a varicocele on testosterone

I'm currently 18, and I believe I've had a left-testicle varicocele for slightly more than 2 months. I'm not entirety sure if that's the time I developed it, for it's merely the time I began experiencing discomfort. I've researched its various effects such as low sperm count and testicular atrophy, however the one that worries me is its significant depletion of testosterone. Does it deplete it to the extent that I might not develop fully in certain aspects? I frequently work out, and I know testosterone is important for muscle development, so I was worried if it might begin decreasing my muscle mass. To summarize my question: could a varicocele affect testosterone to such an extent that it hinders physical development? (Muscle, face, etc.). I don't know if my varicocele is considered severe, all I can say is that the pain is consistent and slightly above mild. I'll appreciate any response. Thank you.

Hi, I had the varicocele embolization done about 2 years ago, since this has been dine I've had what I can only describe as bouts of stock cramp, which in the last 2 months have became frightenly painful, I've been back to the doctor and he's sent me for another ultrasound and guess what, varicocele is bigger than before , I'm really not convinced that he's on the right track with the cause of pain but he seems to dismis any comments j make about it possibly being something else, some advice would be greatly appreciated. Just a little advice about vericoceles. I recently discovered that I had left and right sided vericoceles and had low testosterone. I decided to have a vericocele embolization to see if it would help testosterone levels. Unfortunately, this made my problems worse because what I didn't know at the time was when the left testicular vein was closed off, blood gets redirected out through internal and external iliac veins. It turns out that my vericoceles and even low T were caused by May-Thurner Syndrome (compression of my left iliac vein) something that many doctors don't realize can be a cause of vericoceles. So after I had a stent placed in my left Iliac vein for May-Thurner, then my problems got better. So my advice is get checked for May-Thurner Syndrome before you consider any other options. Hope this helps. Good luck!
