Roller coaster ride

Wow I'm going on close to a year from low vitamin d its been such a rough ride.Between the nausea no appetite ,weak legs, muscle twiching, anxiety, and the list goes on i just need to vent a little. This really stinks I've been feeling good for a while not 100% but feeling a lot better. And saturday i got a small relapse nausea,no appetite and not feeling yourself i think that is the worst part.i started out at 11 and went up to a 70 and was feeling pretty good i went on monday to talk to doctor now I'm back to 59 and feeling down.I take 50,000 iu once a week and 2,000 iu a day.Its so weird how if you come down on your numbers your whole body changes. I would like to know if anybody else has gone thur this or is going thur it now.

Your assessment is right. Vitamin-D is basically a symptom or marker of something else that's broken or diseased. In of itself, it really doesn't cause as much mayhem as some would like us to beleive. Certainly keeping it within normal limits is a good idea, just as it is with all of our essential vitamins and minerals. But if one's vit-D is defiencent, it's time to start looking for the real underlying cause.

I just got my vitamin D checked, and it was at 12 ng/ml. I've been taking 20,000 UI's a day, for a few weeks. I feel slightly better at times during the day, but it isn't enough to amount to anything. I'm not sure if vitamin D deficiency is real, or just another fad that will come and go. They claim that almost everybody has this deficiency. Yet, why don't they show symptoms?

The only improvement that I have seen with vitamin D is a slight increase in serotonin, when I'm in the sunlight. You can get this from anti depressants. The problem with increased serotonin is that it will not give you arousal, motivation, or energy. It will just make you passive and lazy. Yet, the medical establishment passes it off as a cure all. To function normal, you need all of the emotions, including stress, anger, arousal, and sadness when appropriate.

The doctor was saying I might have to be in the high numbers 80+to feel my best glad the summer is around the corner. When did you start your adventure with vitamin d how did it start and were you low ?

Yes It sounds like you have alot of ups and downs.  I have not been retested yet... so just trying to get mega does now.  It sounds like we have alot of the same symptoms...but I don't have nausea.  The calves twitching and cramping are creepy and weird!
