I have a lot of symptoms, brainfog, headache, extreme fatigue, short breath, joint pain, pain in my eye muscle, muscle pain and weakness, unable to work, easy to do to much and that puts me to bed for some time. After starting taking D3 brainfog and headache have gotten a lot better but joint pain and muscle pain and weakness has become worse. I am still very low but slowly going to normal!

I hate to say it, but I did not notice any symptoms. I should not have been shocked when they told me I had a dangerously low Vitamin D deficinency.

I have severe PTSD and anxiety. So being outside or in groups, is not my thing. So I am in my home, normally on my computer. The sun and me are not buddies...well, now we are, after this needless diagnosis.  A problem that I could have probably easily prevented, or at least not have been so severe.  I drank milk every day. Never dreamt that my self imposed hermit status could actually possibly  cripple me.  Five to ten minutes of sun, every day, is the best and quickest supplement to the Vitamin D3 you will ever find.

Good luck

You should be taking D3 not D2
According to the Vitamin D Councilii:

"You would think a paper that took a look at tens of thousands of subjects and analyzed the efficacy of prescription vitamin D (D2) and over-the-counter vitamin D (D3) would warrant a news story or two.

To my knowledge, these papers are the first to paint such a clear picture about the efficacy between D3 and D2.

While there may be explanations for D3's superiority other than improved efficacy, for the time being, these papers send doctors a message: use D3, not D2."

I was reading people in forums taking about lots of symptoms not just the usual bone and muscle pain.

My symptoms are muscle and joint aches/pain, and I feel really tired all the time. Vitamin D deficiency doesn't really have a lot of symptoms, besides the muscle aches and pain and feeling fatigue. My doctor put me on Vitamin D2 for 12 weeks once a week, 50,000 IU. I start my second treatment with the vitamin D2 pill this Friday. I've been starting to feel better, little by little each day.
