Liposomal Vitamin C

I've read a lot of Hype on this....are the benefits of it true...anyone have experience with it.

Hi Chris.
I was really impressed by amount of research and sound reasoning on your website's liposomal vit c recipe.
I have noticed you are trying to spread word out about if on many forums and websites but not many people has not get much attention yet.
I have no idea why?
Your recipe is the most thoroughful described one found on the internet. The amount of the solid reasoning behind order of doing things, proportions, temperature, oxidation, saturation is simply extraordinary (comparing to the other recipes, where even in most praised ones, you just get proportions given as granted, without any chemical explanations baking them up).

I think your website deserves its own forum (or at least contact page). Is there a reason why haven’t you implemented it on you website yet? Comparing it to the amount of the effort you undertook this should be relatively small challenge.

I have few important questions about your recipe and I would love to explore few things:

1. Use of alcohol (ethanol - seen as not exactly the healthiest substance to get to your bloodstream)
2. Relatively high temperature used in one of th steps, which can destroy lots of Vitamin C
3. Relatively long duration of the process which exposes ingredients to oxidation before it is sealed in the jar when ready.

And few other, general doubts about liposomal technology, etc…
I believe your website is a great starting place to raise solid debate about home made liposomaes as delivery vehicle in supplementation, if they even work, etc…

Although not directly on topic, I’m trying to get word out about a new process to make significantly higher potency liposomal vitamin C. I’m selling nothing (there are not even ads on the site), I simply want to help people make better liposomal vitamin C.

I just got the Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) which is in powder form.
I can tell you at least that during times of sickness, my body DOES seem to have a much higher tolerance for Vitamin C.
I went on a recommended 'regime' of taking 8 grams every 20 mins (9 grams in my case, since every half of teaspoon is 2.25 grams).
I reached my bowel tolerance at 2 hours (or 7th dose which equaled in my case 63 grams of ingested Ascorbic Acid), but went through with all 3 hours, and then reduced to 4.5 grams every 6 hours.

Liposomal Vitamin C supposedly has 80% absorption compared to Ascorbic Acid (which is at 20%)... which means that for every 1000 mg (or 1 gram) of Liposomal Vitamin C, you supposedly get about 800mg in your system which is then retained for 24 hours in the body (due to binding with Liposomes - whereas Ascorbic Acid is used up after hours, which is usually why its recommended to supplement with Vitamin C at say 2.25 grams, 3x daily).

I think it provides a good observation how liposomes DO play a part in preserving Vitamin C from oxidation for longer periods of time (as opposed to Ascorbic Acid), as well as increasing payload efficiency.
And while I do agree we need more data, this does bode well.

You can try Liposomal Vitamin C and see how much of it you need before reaching bowel tolerance.
