Vitamin D recovery?

Hello,

I am 43 years and me deficiecy is there since about 15 years. In 2009 i was 7 ng/ml of D3.

I took 4000 ui of D3 for 7 months. (january, februery,, mars, april, may, june and july 2012). For July; I will continue until the end of this month.

So, after seven months, my D3 should be almost back to normal.

I would like to know How long does it take to feel 100% better?

Some people talk about 10 to 12 months. Is this possible?

Thank you
Martin

I have a friend who had a deficiency D. After 10 months she was cured. She had to wait 10 months before being better. Now she has a normal life and his health is perfect!

I think, we have to wait about 10 months before the body working again properly ..

In general, correcting a deficiency state takes around 3 months or so. I've had numerous deficiency states so this is a ballpark figure. However, trying to achieve optimal vitamin D status seems close to impossible for me. It's over 2 years and my recent tests shows my levels have dropped from my highest level i was able to achieve - 30ng/mL (75nmol/L) back down to  20ng/mL (50nmol/L). *sigh*.

My major issue was severe magnesium deficiency (most important co factor for vitamin D absorption) and i believe Hashimoto's thyroiditis (autoimmune hypothyroidism) isn't helping me achieve optimal vitamin D levels.

Vitamin D council recommend 50 - 80ng/mL (125 - 200nmol/L) year round. If you still don't feel 100% at optimal vitamin D levels you have something else going on.
