where to store vitamins?

Hello all,

I've read that it's best to store vitamins in a cool, dry (non-humid) place but I'm having trouble finding a spot. I've used a thermometer/hygrometer all over the house and have found two types of conditions (measured at noon):

1) higher temperature and lower humidity (i.e. 26-27C and 56-57% humidity)
2) lower temperature and higher humidity (i.e. 23-24C and  59-60% humidity)

Of those two conditions, where is it better to store my vitamins (multi, vit. D, Magnesium, etc.)?

Thank you very much.

Thanks Paxiled.

I'm taking a multi for men, Vitamin D, omega 3, and Magnesium gylcinate. None of the bottles are clear.

I did keep them in the fridge before but I was worried about humidity?

If the omega 3 is in soft gels, it's fine, but if it's liquid keep in the fridge.  The multi will be fine, as should the vitamin D.
Most vitamins have a packet of silica to keep the vitamins dry.
You can buy the packets just google silica packets.
By the way I use loose silica to keep my razor dry. I change my razor blade about every 3-4 months. It's basically the water and air that ruins the blade.
I'm sure Paxiled will comment on this. :>)
Pax, I spent the week in Vegas and need a $$$$ contribution.
Will you contribute?
Unlike you, nobody pays me not to work.  I have no money.
Thank you, everyone for the replies

Actually, it depends on the nutrient.  Magnesium is a mineral by the way, not a vitamin.  Are you taking a multi or separate nutrients?  Some fat soluble nutrients and fats are best kept refrigerated if you're not going to take them right away to prevent oxidation, such as Vitamin E.  If the bottles are clear, keep them away from light.  Otherwise, if they're in your house and not sitting outside in the sun, just put them in a darker rather than well lit place, away from sunlight.  If you take them regularly they shouldn't sit long enough to oxidize.  Better quality supplements are never sold in clear bottles, but always in darkened ones.
