CHALLENGE COMMUNICATION


The daily communication to support the “Believe in Yourself Challenge” will be conveyed in two ways.

1.  A daily post will be made in the Weight Loss & Dieting Community signifying each particular day of the challenge, i.e. Day 1, Day 2, etc.  This is the post where members of the challenge will share their daily progress, questions, events, successes, challenges, thoughts and encouragements with all challenge participants.

It is highly recommended that everyone participate in these threads because it is the manner in which the group will share and communicate.  By posting a question in the thread it provides the broadest responses from the group as a whole.  It not only answers the question of one member, but lets all other members benefit from the shared responses and may answer a similar question for another member.

2.  An identical post will be made in Ranaesheart’s journal and is being used as a “group message” function.  When entries are made, it will push out a notification to everyone on Ranaesheart friend’s list.  At the bottom of each journal entry, a link will be provided to the daily post in the Weight Loss & Dieting Community, as that is where comments are to be made.  Please do not leave comments on Ranaesheart’s journal, as we will not be following those comments.  We will be following and responding to the posts made to the daily thread in the Weight Loss & Dieting Community as it benefits the team as a whole.

This will also allow other messages, special notifications or future challenges to be announced and disseminated to all members.  Be sure you have accepted Ranaesheart as a friend so you will not miss out on any challenge or future events.

Individual Posts/Threads -

We would like to continue encouraging you to make posts outside the challenge by starting a new topic/question in the Weight Loss & Dieting Community.  This is an integral part of everyone’s success and benefits all members of the community, whether they are participating in the current challenge or not.

Individual and Mutual Friendships -

Individual and mutual friendships between members are encouraged as it provides additional support, strengthens our resolve and enhances our journeys through life.  These are requested person-to-person when members feel they share a particular similarity, common goal or condition that may bring them closer together.  We encourage these but also highly recommend that you develop these friendships IN ADDITION to your group participation.

Teams -

The development of teams is discouraged for a variety of reasons.  Team leaders have various motivational techniques and strengths and some leaders can be more sparkling and resourceful than others.  That is not to say one is better or worse, just different … but it can lead to discord depending on the team one is placed on.  

In addition, some team members struggle more than others and perhaps are not as committed as those on another team.  The ending result is that members who are highly motivated become discouraged when other teammates are not as motivated or obtaining the same results.  

Therefore, we have chosen to work together as a concerted team; one for all and all for one.  We set individual goals and then look to the group as a whole for strength, motivation, encouragement, laughter and friendship.  This allows each and every member to be in your corner helping you and cheering you on to success!

Hello, I am in and ready to go!  I struggle with making poor food choices, especially for breakfast...I will be reading this forum daily to find some good ideas and support.  If I can help anyone out with my ideas, etc...great!

As I only started my diet last week this is a great  opportunity for a good jump start, so looking forward to the next 3 weeks. Especially as I will be blogging about my progress which gives me an added incentive :-)

How will we know what time to start? Everyone is on a different working schedule and I would like to know if we are going to be given a specific diet to follow.
