I guess sometimes stress burns calories...?
I gained again. twehner - my stress isn't working and neither is anything else.
Trudie - 1.6 is awesome .. share your secrets!
twehner - you Rock! Congrats!!! Hey .. a special challenge for you .. perhaps you and that illusive Skailark can work on something to help us get rockin in the exercise department??? :p
gokuangel - Way to go girl .. weight loss plus inches! Whoo hooo
Barb - Your steadfast determination and stick-to-it-ness is inspiring and I am SOOOO PROUDDD of you!!! There are times when we gain and then gain again, but it is the spirit and fortitude you show in believing and not giving up that makes you a winner! What can we do to help? Want to review your food intake or exercise? We're here for you and we'll figure something out. You give yourself a BIG HUG and realize how special you are for hanging in there in the tough times ... that is what truly tells if we are successful. Supportive (((Hugs)))
So I started on Thursday 1st January
(I weigh - and then measure chest, waist, hips, bum, thighs and calves)
Thur 8th Jan = lost 4lb and 3"
Thur 15th Jan = lost 2lb and 1/2"
Thur 22nd Jan = lost 1.2lb and 3"
Funny how the pounds and inches don't follow a pattern - weird how the weight redistributes lol.
blksapphire - I am SO PROUD of YOU!!! How Brave and Wonderful for you to share so honestly and post at a time that certainly has to be frustrating. Am here to help and will be glad to review your food intake and/or exercise plan with you, if you'd like. Know that YOU CAN lose weight .. we just have to look at some details to be able to help you.
Got_To_Do_It - You have been a member of the WL&D community for quite some time and are a shining example of a positive can do attitude. Thank you for sharing with everyone and yes, it is funny how the inches do not have a direct correlation with the actual pounds .. although they both seem to go in the same direction. Keep up the great work!
twehner - Well .. I just checked the wires, reimplemented the call and the connection is now just fine!!! he hee hee ... Sending this thread to Skailark as well .. so you two can "play" together .. loll Have to admit .. that was funny and a nice try!
Anywaysgood to see all of your are doing a great job! Hang in there and let's keep up the good work!
The Crunching Comedians .. lolll
Know YOU TWO will come up with something fun!!!
We'll put our heads together about some good ab workouts.
I LOVE ab workouts! Did you know all other muscle groups have to have a day to rest between workouts...? BUT you'll be happy to know that the abs can be worked EVERY day! AIN'T GREAT NEWS?
Don't say you don't have time. If you just do 10 crunches/day, how long does that take? maybe 10 seconds? Do those every day and you've done 70 crunches this week.
THERE! That's your beginning class. AND, you won't be sore from 10 crunches, but I LOVE sore!!!
I've kept my diet pretty much steady, in spite of the fact that we had/have several family birthdays this week and I had a house full of company today. But I weighed at 5:00 this morning, so that had nothing to do with it. I did eat a 1/2" X 1/2" square of fudge last night that I had made for my husband, but I don't think that had anything to do with the gain.
Work schedule gets brutal and most days I only have 2-3 hrs between getting home from work and going to bed, so work outs often have to take a back seat to tending husband/pets/home/yard/cooking/laundry, etc. A lot of nights I don't even eat supper. Still walking 3-5 miles/day should count for something!!
All that said, I just looked at the clock and it's now past my bedtime. Ya'll have a great evening.
From your schedule, see you are super super busy and have many irons in the fire. From that and your wonderful posts in the community, it is clear to see you are a giver. Try to keep your spirits up and know I am in your court. I have every faith you will forge through this although, understandably, know this is a slow process.
Love you bunches ..
Do appreciate the information, the encouragement and the challenge! How about you issue that challenge to the rest of the team??? Just copy your post above into a new thread and address it to everyone .. and put CHALLENGE POST before your title. Let's make this a routine part of the entire challenge .. and I accept your challenge of 10 crunches a day! I'll let you know about the pain part .. this is a new tummy that hasn't received crunches since I had surgery .. am looking forward to it!
Thanks twehner .. and many hugssss ... and I believe Skailark is back ... he didn't want to be AWOL .. lol
Twehner! Well..Iam not still AWOL! LOL>>>> Just donot want to be chased around....he he...
Well the rest of the team here is a real challenge ffromTwehner and me...
Welll...the crunches are on! Are you up to the task? Ten a day is just a piece of cake!
Come on! We have to make our CL Miss Ranae Proud! Let's do this and get those abs toned!
I did neglect to mention the key lime pie that I made - I gave that whole thing away, without even a taste.
Due to certain stomach issues, I'm not supposed to eat within 2-3 hours of going to bed and as stated previously, often that's all the time I have between getting home and going to bed. I do usually have an apple and maybe some nuts or something real light in the evening, so I'm not starving. I eat my main meal at lunch time.
I'll have to try to get those crunches into my schedule. The old "tum tum" could use that toning. Thanks twehner5 and Skailark - keep us accountable!!
The old Lark and I will be excited to hear about the 20 crunches ;) , but the doctor better be listening to the REST! Something isn't right. Take care of your health, and we'll take care of your smiles (and your abs)!
Oh, MY! I could NOT have resisted the Key Lime Pie. I'm impressed.
I'm so happy to hear that you have my abs covered and I certainly get the smiles from your posts!! You go girl. Hey wait a minute - I thought it was 10 crunches - with friends like you, I sure don't need any enemies. hahaha
And, yes, please do come shake up the doctor - I need something and not getting his help. But there's hope on the horizon ............... I see a new endocrinologist tomorrow morning and am hoping he's got some help for me - in both the energy and weight loss depts. Will let you know how that goes. Thanks
BTW....how do you get the tracker to show up on your posts?
I lost 2 lbs last week!!!!! I am so happy to start seeing the pounds come off!!!
