CHALLENGE POST - Writing Assignment

Today we thought that a short writing assignment would be an awesome way to remind ourselves of our goals and why we began this journey.

So here is the assignment.....Please write what losing weight and reaching your weight loss goal means to you.  This will be a bit different for each person and that is perfectly okay.  I'll go first.

A long time ago someone told me that "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels".
I guess I really didn't get that until...

In the past I have been heavy enough to have sugery (I had a close family member that did).  But I lost weight.  It is hard, it takes time and dedication.  Also I think the weight game distorts your own personal perception.  Your never as thin as you want or even if you lose weight, you still see a big person when you look in the mirror after you have lost weight.

But once you are there.  I think for me that I can't lose it for anyone not my kids my husband......... ONLY ME..........

I had baby number two 7 months ago and am working now to lose what I gained.  BUT i HAVE DONE IT ONCE i CAN DO IT AGAIN.....

i can honestly say that when I was able to put on a size 3 in jeans.  ( at my heaviest I was a 26)
Nothing can describe that feeling.  NOTHING can describe that feeling

I have set a weight loss goal for myself so I can have another baby.  Of course, I could have one now but, I want to be healthy for my children.  It's very important to me that I set a good example for my children.  I have two girls right now, and I know how big an issue body image is, especially to girls.  I want to be healthy and be able to teach them good eating habits and exercise when they are older.  I want them to know how important it is to stay healthy.
So, I guess for me it just means being that example for my girls...instead of them looking in some magazine.

I have always been very healthy no matter what my weight until recently.

I want to reach my goal so that when I recover from my foot surgery (on monday!) I will be able to walk normally.  I want to be able to walk my dogs without being afraid of falling.  I want to be able to walk without pain.

Reaching my own personal weight loss goal will be very special to me.  It will mean that throughout the health problems, throughout the medication problems, and throughout whatever life has to through at me...I will have succeeded.  I will have pushed right on through many obstacles and still come out victorious despite it all.  It will mean that I have accomplished something that I have been dreaming about and working for for several years.
