Idk for sure but my diet Dr told me low carbs low calories and low fat or fat free foods. With that I'm guessing protein

Hiya - I agree with the comments above. I've just been introduced to this reduced carb lifestyle by my daughter-in-law in New Zealand who calls it the paleo lifestyle -  the more gentle version is the primal diet. (There's loads on the web with recipes and ideas.) They've been doing it for nearly a year now and look fantastic! They have masses of energy and my son just completed the Auckland marathon recently. The cat is even on it and has lost weight!! I've been following the primal version for a week since my return to UK and feel good on it. I have been immensely helped by The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. Hope this is helpful.

I don't agree with your first comment. Carbs are the problem, they are the reason 100% why we gain weight.. You need to concentrate on lowering your carbs in the form of grains and sugar..not the carbs(fibre) you get from fruits and vegetables.. Up the amount of protein and FAT that you take in. You need the healthy fats to give you energy.. your body won't use protein as energy but it will use the fat very easily as energy.. so when you switch to fat burning mode, it will use the fat you eat for energy and then will use the fat on you as energy. You'll burn it fast and you don't have to count calories, you don't have to worry about cravings and low energy, you don't have to worry about your low blood sugar.. your blood sugar will stay at a pretty even level so you won't get the low blood sugar. Stay away from processed foods and fats such as vegetable oils, canola oils.. coconut oil, olive oil is the best.. butter, cream, ghee, nuts and seeds, avocados are all great ways to get healthy fats in you..I have seen great success(60 lbs lost) eating this way.. I am never starving either and I'm still losing.. I lost weight even when I wasn't working out but of course exercise is always helpful for your heart and your health..

Hi,
I would say most cals should co.e from protein and carbs equally as ur body needs carbs as a fuel. if you cut down on the fat whilst still eating a balanced diet you should notice a marked improvement in ur weightloss. if ur fond of biscuits for e.g. then make it a plain tea or digestive and no more than 2 at a time. use lean meat and trim off excess if there is any. dry fry stuff or grill/oven bake more and always drink loads of water, if u dnt like plain water add a little sugar free diluting juice to it. if u have eaten your food allowance and are still hungry, chew gum, it tricks the brain into thinking ur eating and u will feel full. all else fails, go for a nap. u can't eat if ur asleep! :-) good luck!
