Diet plan help

Helloooo.
I am 20 year old female, weighing 154 lb at 5'3in. I am very inactive, although this week I have started exercising for about an hour a day (football/jogging/playing frisbee). I still have not changed my diet, since I have no idea how to go about it. I want to lose a lot of weight, I'm unhealthy and unhappy. Anybody have any advice on how to eat/exercise? Thanks. ^^

Sorry no on answered your question yet.  I'm not always online, so don't always see questions right when they're posted.

Making even small changes in your diet can have a huge impact on your weight.  For instance, if you eat junk food (candy, cookies, pastry, fast food) stop ........ replace the candy bar or cookie with an apple or some carrot/celery sticks.  If you drink soda, replace it with water.

Try to eliminate as much of the processed foods from your diet, as you can.  Opt for fresh (or frozen) veggies, whenever possible. Veggies are full of fiber and will keep your digestion regular, plus keep you feeling fuller longer.  Eat plenty of lean protein, including meats, dairy, eggs, whole grains.

Switch from white bread and regular pasta to whole grain varieties.

Make sure you get "good" fat, such as that found in olive oil, avocado, nuts, seeds, but of course, all fats should be limited.

Make sure you get plenty of exercise.  It can be in the form of sports, walking (a brisk 30 minute walk every day is awesome), yoga (great for keeping the body toned), dance, zumba....... the key is to stay active.  The length of time you exercise is not as important as the intensity.
