Does honey cause weight gain?

I have a doubt whether honey causes weight gain. Does it cause weight loss when had at different timing?

Weight gain and loss are functions of how quickly you metabolize what you eat, how well you digest it.  Honey is sugar, but has more complex sugars than sugar cane, which is mostly simple sugar.  But it is sugar, and if not burned relatively quickly it will store as fat.  But that depends on how your body processes it and how much exercise you're getting and how much honey you're talking about.  We're all different.  But I can't see it ever causing weight loss.

I have heard that honey diluted in a glass of water and had in the morning on an empty stomach is good for weigt loss.. Any idea on whether it is true?
Don't see how it could be -- as I said, it's sugar.

Have you heard of the honey and cinnamon method if you take a table spoon of cinnamon and honey and put it in to a coffee cup combine the two and mix it into a paste the as you would with tea use hot water then stir it up and turns into a tea like drink I do this every morning and every night before I go to bed and by doing this this will 100% will build you Amon system up make you workout feel good and make you energetic more it work for me I started this this process of the honey and cinnamon and I started it on November 1 till now on November 1 I weighed 220 by doing the process of the cinnamon and honey I now weigh 192 so it does work this process will make you feel refreshed every day and makes you want to do stuff and it's a good motivator to so I would recommend trying it but again if he use a lot of the stuff if you use a lot more than a tablespoon you're defeating the purpose is well it is sugar but it's the right sugar so just a tablespoon of honey and cinnamon put in a coffee cup start up in hot water then enjoy no more than tablespoon or else you're defeating the purpose it will work I would recommend it to anybody so try it before you go to work. In the morning before work out or going to work and before bed

You do realize your workout is what made the difference, right?  And that cinnamon counteracts the stimulating effects of sugar?  And that honey has different kinds of sugar in it, but much of it is simple sugar that if not burned immediately stores as fat, not to mention rots out your teeth?  And that most honey is so refined that it's really just sugar?  Why bother?
