Does stationery cycling helps in reducing weight?

Hi, i want to lose 5 kg in a 20 days, my current weight is 60 kg, i'm 5'7" in height and 22 years old. But, i hate excersing much, and usually eat just potatoes or rice and no healthy food. So by any chance, if i do stationery cycling for 30 minutes in a day, can it help me in reducing weight without doing anything else.

You need to eat healthy food, as well as exercise.  Potatoes and rice, simply don't have the nutrients you need to be healthy.  They are both starchy and increase blood glucose quickly.  Over a period of time, this can lead to insulin resistance and/or diabetes, heart attack, stroke, etc.

Exercise and less calories! Brown rice is healthier than white rice. How about sweet potato!

You can do the following with a stationary bike!

Figure your heart rate by this formula
The Karvonen Formula is a mathematical formula that helps you determine your target heart rate zone.
The formula involves using your maximum heart rate (MHR) minus your age to come up with a target
heart rate range (which is a percentage of your MHR). Staying within this range will help you work
most effectively during your cardio workouts.
First thing in the morning before you get out of bed have a clock with a second hand and check your
resting heart rate then figure your rate by the Karvonen Formula
