Well I have it sussed ow - I am aiming for 10 8oz glasses of water/squash a day and because I am monitoring it and charting it I seem to be okay - 3 good days so far...
i know what you mean about drinking water...i too feel like i'm drowning if i drink too much. try adding crystal light to your water...it'll give it a nice flavor and with minimal calories. when you need a snack make it something that you know will make you thirsty...like popcorn...hope this helps!
GOOD FOR YOUUUUU!!!! You should be so Proud of you for the positive healthy steps you are making!!! YEAAAHHHHH YOUUUUUU!!!!
Drinking cold water and flavored water (Propel) has actually allowed me to enjoy my water intake. It is also helpful to know that water replacement can also come from foods, especially some fruits like watermelon and cucumbers as they are nearly 100% comprised of water weight.
Found it beneficial to drink a glass of water with each meal and between meals, which not only helps you stay hydrated but spreads out your intake over the course of a day. Remembering to drink water before, during and after exercise will help keep you hydrated.
Looking forward to hearing how you are doing with this new goal!!! Very best wishes!!!
I struggle severely with drinking water-even flavored water. I'm lucky if I drink 16 ounces in a day! So I understand!
I like your way of thinking - great attitude - wanting to be full of fresh water ;)
So far today I am doing great (8 glasses so far) - apart from the frequesnt urinating which is already driving me nuts!
I am the opposite--I drink water ALL DAY, even before I was trying to lose weight. When I am traveling or in another situation that interrupts my hydration it really bothers me. (I am on a work trip now, and when I got back to my room last night I immediately downed a few glasses of water to catch up for the day!)
I do have one idea that motivates my water consumption. Have you ever heard that we are about 2/3 water? That means of course that 6.67 lbs of every 10 lbs. of your weight is water. I'm big, 236 lbs. (but working on it...) So that means I carry around more than 157 lbs of water!
I don't know about you, but I think it would be kind of gross if all of that water was not fresh! By drinking lots, I know that the water in my body is constantly being replaced. I guess just really thinking about the body as a biological system and thinking about just how much water I am made up of motivates me to keep a water bottle handy at all times.
You note that you know all of the reasons and benefits, so I won't go into that. Good luck tracking your water! I hope you quickly reap the benefits of drinking more.
