EXERCISE CHALLENGE

Today I'm issuing each of you a challenge to MOVE!  Now, you can decide "what" to do and for "how long" .. but we're gonna ask, in the spirit of team building and accountability .. that you SHOUT IT OUT here, describe why you chose this exercise and ... how many calories did it burn!

Yep .. get those exercise trackers filled in and report it in your comment!

Let's get everybody involved and encourage each other.  You may want to send a note to 3 friends to get it going .. and come post who you sent it to so we can all help encourage them.  Plan on having this thread throughout the week .. EXERCISE is going to be a PRIORITY this week .. as we all strive to set new habits!

I'm walking 1.25 miles today, around the lake, with my grandsons.  I'm burning approximately 200 calories.  Am taking kind of medium pace because I was extremely ill yesterday and couldn't eat or keep anything down until 7 pm .. so I'm a little dehydrated and increasing water.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone is up to today!

i walked to the leisure club took me  20 mins, its so very hot here, I chose to do a 45 min aqua aerobic class it was so nice being in the pool, then i walked back 25 mins back its up hill,lol,done about 600 cals up to now. later steve and i will go to the gym for an hour then a swim,

Hope you feel better soon. Im not feeling to hot myself.

Well I havnt done my work out today but last night, sun went down, it was raining, PERFECT. I usually start running at the water tower till the end of the road. Last night I started running before the water tower and ran to the end and back to where I started running. Then walked the rest of the way home.  All in all, I think its 2 km, half of it I ran.

Push push push yourself! Dont do it for anyone but you!

I went to a 45 minute step class, which was followed immediately by a 45 minute body sculpt (strength training) class.

I only spent 10 minutes as need to start slow and build up and can't do anything to stress my joints or tire me out but am so happy this challenge came along to get me going.  Stretching and floor exercises actually helped my pain.  Now I'm a believer and will continue building on what I have started today.

I added a 2 mile walk with my daughter onto the end of the day.  I'm now officially "tireder."

I ran my 5K in 38 mins 18 secs! Burnt just under 400 calories :-)
